How to Make an Alternating Chevron Bracelet
We will need:
- 1 red 160 cm string
- 4 strings 170 cm each: 2 dark green (DG) and 2 light green (LG)
1. Fold the strings in half and tie a knot. Stick the bracelet to some surface with tape. Arrange the strings as shown in the picture. Tie the red strings in the middle (make a
backward or a forward knot). Take the left string and make a row of backward knots. Then take the right string and make a row of forward knots.
2. Tie the central dark green and the light green strings (make a forward knot with the DG string). Take the DG string and make a row of forward knots as in the picture:
3. Now take the central LG string and make a row of backward knots.
4. Repeat stages 2 and 3. You get four rows of DG and LG knots.
5. Make another row of red knots starting from the middle.
6. Now make a forward knot with the LG string. And finish the row with it. Take the DG string and make a row of backward knots.
7. Continue weaving the bracelet, alternating the DG and LG colors.
